Last month, Vaja was profiled in a story from Breakit that provided a general overview of our vision for the future of more efficient and more profitable solar energy. That same story also revealed that Node Ventures made a pre-seed investment in Vaja last Fall, and that we are sprinting ahead to validate and benchmark our innovative wind-adaptive technology.
As the Breakit article requires a subscription to read, this post serves as a short distillation of three key things we believe are important to know about Vaja at the start of our journey.
- We are bringing disruptive technology to market that reduces the wind load on solar farm installations by more than 80%. This has enabled us to develop solutions that produce significantly more solar energy, in particular during mornings, evenings, and winters — when both need of energy, and energy prices, are higher.
- Solar power is the fastest growing means of energy generation globally. Our technology can accelerate this even further by making solar farms more commercially attractive to build and operate.
- We are moving quickly to turn our idea into a commercial reality. In our first year we have grown a team of technical and operational experts and have built our first proof-of-concept solar farm installations. These installations are generating a constant stream of data and providing strong validation concerning the clear benefits of our technology.
In the coming weeks, we will be posting here regularly about our journey, our progress, and our growing team. We are also gearing up to reveal much more specific information about the wind-adaptive innovations we are bringing to solar farm tracking and mounting technology – and why it is such a revolutionary advancement for the attractiveness of solar power in many parts of the world.
